Respiratory Therapist Resident Program

JOB SUMMARY: Chosen applicants will enter the Five-Month Respiratory Residency Program. Upon completion of the program graduates will be fully competent at the entry level of the respiratory therapy practice. Respiratory Therapists are responsible for assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions affecting the cardiopulmonary system for children and adults. Therapist select and administer the appropriate care accessing the age and developmental level and size of the patient. Providing a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing. The residency schedule will consist of a day and night rotation for one year and then full time nights, days if available. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Eligible for California state licensure to apply Must have current California license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner prior to start of program.
