Risk Adjustment Analyst - Plano, TX

We serve a diverse customer base within the health care community, including health care payers, providers, employers, pharmaceutical companies, consumers, workers’ compensation and auto liability insurers, and government agencies.   Primary Responsibilities: Analyze rejected Medicare encounters submitted for risk adjustment and determine the reason for rejection. Correct rejected claims and resubmitting them to CMS. Help to identify error trends. Work can use but does not always depend on established procedures. Works independently. Mentor others. Act as a resource for others. Apply knowledge/skills to complex activities. May act as a technical resource to others in own function. Solve complex problems on own; proactively identify new solutions to problems. Plan, prioritize, organize, and complete work to meet established objectives. Qualifications: High school diploma with some college. 3 or more years of medical claims knowledge is required. 1 or more years of MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook is required. A background with Medicare and/or Medicaid claims is preferred. Experience with medical coding is preferred. Candidates should possess good analytical skills.
