We are currently recruiting for Risk Manager to be based out of our Home Office in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.Summary: Provide consultative healthcare risk management services to all facilities. This includes analyzing and evaluating resident incidents, professional liability concerns, resident/family grievances and claim exposure data. Utilize loss data information to develop loss prevention and educational programs. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: · Under general direction, develop, plan, design, deliver, evaluate and improve an integrated clinical risk management system to all facilities. · Assess and identify risks, minimize/reduce or prevent losses/risks, meet defined performance management/improvement targets/benchmarks, meet regulatory/accreditation standards related to Risk Management, improve the quality of patient care, manage claims quickly, economically and effectively, so as to minimize financial consequences /costs. · Work collaboratively with facilities to design and implement risk management and loss prevention strategies and programs, as well as performance improvement programs.· Assist facilities in managing clinical risk issues on a daily basis.· Responsible for coordinating those systems necessary for identification, evaluation, monitoring, reduction and/or elimination of professional and general liability risk exposures. · Provide counseling and education to facility leadership, clinical staff, and all other Stakeholders related to risk exposures including risk prevention and risk reduction. · Manage the clinical risk management education, training, communications process/services by coordinating and providing risk management education/training programs.· Participate in the support of professional liability litigation at the direction and under the guidance of the Director of Risk Management and General Counsel. · Participate in the Home Office Risk Management Committee. · Travel to facilities, when necessary, to interview witnesses and obtain information to complete investigations and to assist in implementation of corrective measures. · Other special projects and duties, as assigned. Job Requirements:· Bachelors degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education and applicable work experience.· Certified Professional in healthcare risk management preferred.· Registered Nurse with current state license, required.· Minimum of Five (5) years experience in long term care and healthcare risk management preferred.· Effective verbal and written English communication skills. · Demonstrated intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, Internet and Intranet navigation. · Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.· Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives. · Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.· Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects with high level of quality and productivity.· Strong analytical and problem solving skills. · Ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and make independent decisions.· Ability to deal with new tasks without the benefit of written procedures.· Approachable, flexible and adaptable to change.· Up to 70% travel required.
