SAN ADMINISTRATOR
- Bachelors degree is required GENERAL SUMMARY : The SAN Administrator should demonstrate commitment to the vision, core purpose/mission and goals of LRMC, modeling the values and culture. The SAN Administrator is responsible to the Manager, IS Systems and Datacenter. S/he works as an empowered member of a self-directed work team committed to common purpose and goals and holds self mutually accountable for team outcomes. Shares, as scheduled, a 24-hour, 7-day week responsibility for all aspects of team functions. The Storage/SAN Administrator is responsible for design, installation, setup, and administration of current and future storage systems in a 24x7x365 environment. Duties include the planning and implementation of SAN infrastructure, troubleshooting of performance and availability, identification and acquisition of tools, and ongoing capacity trend analysis. The SAN administrator must be familiar with designing and implementing enterprise wide storage solutions, modification to existing storage configurations, production support and problem resolution The SAN Administrator must identify opportunities for and contribute to the improvement of quality, safety and cost, as well as patient, customer, and employee satisfaction. S/he may perform other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Preferred: o Knowledge of Project Management methodologies/standards such as PMI or PRINCE2 o Knowledge of Quality Management methodologies/standards such as Six Sigma, TQM, ISO9000, or Crosby Required: o Proficient knowledge of local and wide area networking theory and technologies o Broad & in-depth knowledge of SAN technologies design, planning, implementation and maintenance. o In depth understanding of HBA's, FC switch architecture, configuration, and management (zoning, fan-in/out, ISL's, LUN masking, etc), and multi-pathing/failover device driver technology o In-depth knowledge of network protocols with advanced knowledge of TCP/IP o Knowledge of "off-the-shelf" business applications (i.e. MS Office Suite, MS Project, GroupWise) o Proficiency with network design/documentation software (e.g. Visio, NetViz, Autocad) o Ability to operate relevant computer hardware and software o Excellent interpersonal skills (verbal and written) EDUCATION: Preferred: o Required: o Bachelors degree with a major in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent relevant professional experience EXPERIENCE: Preferred: o Previous management or project management experience o Experience utilizing a formal quality management methodology Required: o 5+ yrs SAN administration of enterprise class storage solutions in a distributed environment o Proven experience in provisioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of enterprise storage area networks. o Experience managing /administrating EMC, IBM or equivalent storage product lines o Demonstrated experience in developing metrics and standards for managing storage systems o Experience with Brocade fiber channel switches and routers o Experience with SAN applications such as Data Replication, Snap Shots, Veritas Storage Foundations. o Experience with Unix/SAN performance tuning o Experience with Unix scripting o Experience participating in corporate disaster recovery planning as a technical lead in a corporate environment o Experience integrating storage systems in a virtual server environment LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/ OTHER: Preferred: o Certification with IBM or EMC storage systems o One or more of the following: SCP, SCSE, SCA, SCSN-E, EMCSA, EMCST, EMCTA, EMCCE, EMCIE, CCNA, CCNP, CCDA, CCIP, CCIE, SNRS, CVOICE, MCP, MCSA, MCSE, GIAC, GSEC, GCIH, GCFA, GCIA, GAWN, GCWN, GCFW, or other relevant certification o PMP, Six-Sigma, ITIL Required: #CB# Company: LAKELAND REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER Location: US-FL-Lakeland Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: IT/Software Development
