SAP Business Analyst, Operations

Job Description

This position will serve as the primary liaison between IT and Operations across all sites to develop SAP MM/PP/PM functionality. The Operations group includes Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement and Facilities. In this role, the analyst will implement and influence these department’s strategic objectives and create a long-term SAP roadmap based on those objectives. This includes analyzing business processes and recommending SAP best practices. The incumbent will work closely with the SAP Support team and the Computer System Validation group to implement new functionality or enhancements following the software development lifecycle. Will supervise consultants and temporary employees when necessary and model, analyze, and reengineer business process flows as required.

Required Skills

Expert-level knowledge of SAP MM and PP module configuration including: master data, enterprise structure, forecasting, demand management, MRP, production planning and execution, inventory management, Logistics and Procurement.

Must have a good understanding of other SAP modules (like PM HR, SD, FI/CO) and their integration points with MM/PP is required.

Knowledge of product costing in terms of new product development is desirable as is the ability to create clear and concise design document as well as training materials for user community.

Requirements

5+ years of SAP functional experience in the MM/PP (Demand Management, MRP, Production Planning and Execution, Logistics, Inventory Management, Logistics and Procurement) and 2 to 3 years of project management experience.
