RHIT preferred.§ Three or more years applicable work experience in software quality assurance testing, software implementation support, training or software technical support of healthcare coding / billing software.§ Experience in related job areas such as system analyst, business analyst, medical informatics, electronic medical records, or practice management systems preferred. § Experience working with or implementing process improvement initiatives required. Knowledge of business process management concepts preferred. § Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of Microsoft Visio and Project applications preferred.§ Knowledge of SQL Server environments required.§ Strong customer service attitude, excellent time management and organization skills required.  § Strong written and verbal communication skills required.  POSITION SUMMARY: Serve as the primary technical liaison and on-site application expert for our coding education auditing software product. Responsible for support of end-user education and training on the use and operation of the software; provides application support, issue escalation and resolution. Work in collaboration with KP-IT and Coding Education to manage new software releases, develop test cases and oversee testing efforts. Utilize testing methodologies to manage the validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and conformance to establishment standards. Individuals in this position will have the opportunity to directly impact business processes and must be hands-on person who is proactive in seeking and applying technical knowledge. Maintains and supports a culture of compliance, ethics and integrity.  Maintains knowledge of policies and procedures and performs in accordance with the Principles of Responsibilities and applicable regulatory requirements, external laws and accreditation standards.  Appropriately reports observed fraud or abuse. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:§ Serves as the on-site application expert for coding education auditing software application; ensures system set up is congruent with Coding Education department defined process goals.§ Researches, analyzes, resolves and documents software application issues.§ Coordinates and executes regularly scheduled maintenance activities with DBAs, Coding Education supervisors and external systems.§ Assists with the review of coding education auditing processes and development of revised workflow plans. Identifies, documents, and implements required coding auditing software process improvements. § Maintains user documentation and training manuals by coordinating content review, additions and approvals.§ Creates and distributes supporting documentation for coding auditing software to include FAQs, Quick Tips and software enhancements and new process documents.§ Works with KP-IT Release Manager to execute tests as part of major and minor release cycles. Develops test cases, organizes and manages the testing process by appropriately dividing test cases among the available testing resources; ensures the testing effort is on schedule; communicates and reports on metrics related to the status of the testing effort.· Facilitates the coordination of research, testing and Q/A activities for special projects.· Assists Coding Education with application issue management, escalation and resolution.· Works with Coding Training Manager to ensure appropriate training is provided to new Coding Education employees. Kaiser Permanente is an AA/EEO employer -  Additional Information Reference Code: AU.0800195 Position Type: Full Time, Employee Contact Information Lorraine Bamford Kaiser Permanente Colorado
