STAFF RN - B, SFT, 1ST SHIFT

Day Hospital - Responsible for assessment and management of the oncology patient, including chemotherapy administration and procedures. Occasional weekends.
Triage Nurse - Responsible for triaging incoming phone calls including assessment, evaluation and management of symptoms in collaboration with the medical team.
Clinic - Responsible for patient assessment, teaching and coordination of care with the medical team.

Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of a program at an accredited School of Nursing. Current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse license. Minimum of 2 years direct patient care in an medical/surgical setting and experience in bleeding/clotting disorders preferred. Ability to maintain clinical expertise. Knowledge and understanding of the Oncology Standards of Nursing Practice. Interpersonal skills necessary to instruct and comfort patients and their families, and maintain effective contacts with a variety of hospital personnel. Analytical skills necessary to prepare nursing plans of care, implement effective nursing care and develop solutions to problems concerning patients' mental or physical well-being.
