SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

This position is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the Intel based technical infrastructure for Froedtert & Community Health's Information Systems. This infrastructure primarily includes server and storage hardware, MS Windows Server operating systems, Novell operating systems, Microsoft Exchange, and miscellaneous IS support systems. This position may also have responsibility for the installation and support of small business applications directly supporting end-user departments. Will work closely with Team Leader and Manager to ensure that the server infrastructure delivers at a service level consistent with organizational risk, information access requirements, and business strategies. Position works to improve or maintain a high level of system performance and availability through the implementation of sound server technologies and consistent use of generally accepted IS best practices.
* Associate's degree in computer science, or related technology field preferred or acquired through combination of education and experience.
* Requires two or more years of relevant Intel based systems administration experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
* Solid capabilities working to plan and meeting deadlines.
* Outstanding knowledge and skills in server, storage, and PC technologies.
* Outstanding knowledge and skills in DOS, all Windows operating systems, Microsoft Exchange and TCP/IP.
* Exceptional computer skills utilizing and supporting MS Office and MS Exchange/Outlook.
* Must have good interpersonal skills in communications with all levels of hospital personnel, vendors and IS personnel.
* Must be able to train others quickly and thoroughly on key IS concepts.
