Scientist - Tech Ops

Support Technical Operations Department in development and improvement of solid dosage (VMS) of new and current products assuring highest levels of quality, efficiency and cost effectiveness. Provide daily support and troubleshooting expertise on shop floor. Coordinate shop floor changes. Responsible for specification review, formula/process improvements, and documentation preparation (in support of rationale for engineering studies.) Participate in execution and validation study batches. Prepare scale up batches, Engineering studies, evaluate materials and monitor complete process in manufacturing. Prepare statistical data to evaluate process capability. Report all results to the Technical Operations Manager. Provide Shop-floor support and Trouble shoot products in Manufacturing. Help and monitor problems in manufacturing process on day to day basis. Support other staff in Technical Operations on stability issues, raw material evaluation, validation protocol review. Generate and review Specifications, Master Manufacturing formulas. Assist in development of new technology and technology transfer to production. Any other technical assignment given by the Department head. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree in a Science-related field or 5 years experience in solid dosage formulation. Level of Experience: Five years minimum experience in Solid Dosages, Compression/Coating/Mixing./Granulation Preferred. Strong tableting experience required (formulation, process) Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Statistical process control knowledge & Computer skills preferred Ability to take initiative, self-directed and motivated Proven follow-up skills Effectively function in a fast-paced and changing environment Travel - up to 20%.
