Senior Accountant

Community Services Network of West Tennessee, Inc. (CSN) is looking for a full-time accountant.  The accountant will report to the Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for the day-to-day processing functions of CSN’s financial activity, Including:

· Processing all accounts payable and payroll transactions and preparing quarterly payroll tax returns

· Preparing monthly financial statements for management review, including preparing and entering all general journal entries

· Processing and paying claims and researching claim refunds

· Preparing annual tax forms (1099s)

· Prepares monthly financial statements

· Assist in the development of capital and operating budgets

· Coordinates annual external audit processes and works with auditing agencies

· Supervises department employees

· Other routine accounting functions.

The successful candidate must have: 

· Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting and 3-5 years of experience

· 2-3 years management experience

· knowledge of accrual basis accounting, accounts payable processing, payroll processing, and general ledger data entry

· Knowledge of electronic accounting packages, QuickBooks experience preferred

· Advanced computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet experience

· Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skills

· Ability to plan, schedule, prioritize, and complete multiple projects and demands and maintain control of workflow

· Ability to assume responsibility and exercise authority over assigned work functions
