Summary:
The Center for Health Policy and Research, a part of Commonwealth Medicine, is seeking a Senior Analyst. The Senior Analyst is responsible for identifying, analyzing and preparing reports about potential health-related policies, clinical topics, business opportunities, RFPs, grants, as well as other tasks related to supporting the management of the organization under the purview of the Associate Vice Chancellor/ Chief Medical Officer (AVC/CMO) for Commonwealth Medicine (CWM). This includes analysis work, preparing executive summaries, managing projects, overseeing contracts, grant management support, and other activities as assigned by the Managing Director.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Master’s degree or equivalent experience in business, public administration, or related field.
· Five years of experience in the health care field, including at least three years in a managerial capacity.
· Experience writing academic grants, vendor contracts, and other types of business proposals at the local, state and federal levels.
· Demonstrated excellent oral and written skills.
· Demonstrated successful experience in working in a very fast-paced, sophisticated, complex, entrepreneurial, and highly matrixed organization.
· Experience in managing grants, vendor contracts, projects, and other types of business opportunities.
· Demonstrated experience in computer based tools, including spreadsheets, database management, and word processing.
· Understanding of and experience with project management.
· General knowledge in accounting principles, and budgeting.
· Thorough understanding of UMMS and state, federal, private funding policies.
