Genesis HealthCare is looking for a Sr. Systems Anaylst to join our IS team in Kennett Square, PA.Inpatient Senior Analyst, Operational Systems1. Understand the role and impact of operations information systems required in support of long term care delivery2. Work with operations customers to identify, develop, support and implement solutions that will optimize patient care and facility management3. Understand federal and state regulations in order to provide system compliance4. Interpret operational practices (clinical, financial, intake/marketing) and policy, and recommends changes as necessary5. Facilitate the requirements gathering and workflow analysis6. Participate in quality assurance testing of new software releases7. Provide senior analyst level support for software configuration and production issues8. Function as the liaison between the vendor, customers and internal/external development areas9. Drive the process required to meet business customer requests, government regulations or to build interfaces with other systems10. Become the system expert, focusing on operations functionality11. Participate on interdisciplinary project teams12. Recommend and prepare reports for field, regional, and executive management13. Provide demonstrations of software applications to operations customers

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS1. College diploma or university degree in the field of Health Care Administration or management information systems.2. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.3. Working knowledge of Long Term Care and Assisted Living operations4. Demonstrable skills developing functional requirements5. Have the ability to handle complex and demanding situations that may have established deadlines6. Proven track record of analytical, planning and negotiation skills.7. Knowledge of governmental healthcare regulations8. Previous experience supporting healthcare operations or operations support systems. 9. Ability to lead requirements gathering and design sessions with the business.10. Ability to document business requirements, workflow, quality assurance scenarios/use cases and turnover documents11. Proven project management skills12. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple, diverse problems in an effective, timely manner13. Skilled in use of industry standard software/tools, e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Visio
