JOB SUMMARY: The System Administrator provides complex systems administration and architecture in an enterprise Citrix Server environment. This role is a part of the Concentra Citrix Team and will be responsible for supporting and troubleshooting Concentra's Citrix environment, as well as implementing best practice solutions according to business need. RESPONSIBILITIES: ' Performs high level Microsoft operating systems administration (Windows 2003) including system installs, upgrades, patch installs, builds and configurations, performance monitoring, Group Policy Objects, maintenance such as disk resources, and troubleshooting to meet business needs.' Performs high level Citrix Presentation Server 3.0 and 4.5 administration and configuration for a large environment. Support Presentation Server components such as Web Interface, Secure Gateway, EdgeSight for Presentation Servers, and Password Manager.' Plans, researches and provides technical level input regarding new technologies.' Provide application implementation support as needed.' Utilize and develop Altiris Deployment Console 6.5 jobs to automate all Citrix server and application implementations.' Provide level 3 technical support services to clients and corporate technical staff via ticket tracking system. ' Documents administration processes and changes.' Performs other job duties/responsibilities as may be assigned by Concentra IT leadership for the successful operation of the department. EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:' Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent experience to acquire the skills and knowledge usually acquired through education.' Appropriate certification path such as MCP/CCAREQUIREMENTS:' Minimum 5 years experience performing systems support functions in a complex Citrix environment such as system performance analysis, systems problem solving, and maintenance in a Microsoft Windows server environment' Minimum 5 years Citrix Presentation Server XP/3.0/4.0 administration experience including system installs, upgrades, patch installs and maintenance for a minimum of 50 server environmentSKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:' Ability to independently research, design and implement environment changes across existing and new technologies' Experience with Windows unattended installations, sysprep, and server deployment techniques' Proven experience with Microsoft Group Policy Objects' Ability to utilize vbscript, MFCOM, WMI, InstallShield, and MSI scripting tools ' Proven effective customer service techniques and verbal and written communication skills' Proven analytical and problem solving techniques' Ability to work as a proactive, resourceful, cooperative and respectful team memberWORKING CONDITIONS:' Office setting. May be required to lift heavy objects occasionally such as monitors, PC equipment, etc. up to 50 pounds.
