Primary Responsibilities: Manage communications development and execution across ACME and to stakeholder groups as needed. Partner with business groups to triage and develop stories of interest to all ACME employees and stakeholder groups. Write and edit supporting internal communications (print, presentation and online), properly positioning the information for internal audiences and stakeholders. Work closely with internal stakeholders and communications colleagues (e.g.,executives, field communications staff, UnitedHealthcare communications, Commercial Markets Group communications, etc.) to ensure ACME stories are shared in the most effective ways possible. Responsible for frequent, accurate status reporting to area leadership and key stakeholders on a regular basis . Partner with company subject matter experts to gather/review/finalize information. Work in conjunction with cross-functional teams to develop, manage and promote activities that enhance ACME's communications objectives. Maintain strong working knowledge of UHC business policies and procedures. Qualifications: Three or more years related work experience required, preferably in a complex corporate communications or marketing communications environment. Bachelors degree in mass communications, public relations or journalism required. Exceptional skills in writing, editing, communications plan development, and project management. Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills required. Previous experience in the health care industry preferred. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in all Microsoft Office products, SharePoint, Publisher, Quark, Adobe Acrobat Professional, and online content-management software. Able to use multiple software programs for project tracking and status reporting. Previous experience managing a corporate intranet site, as well as online content development. Knowledge of and ability to use AP Style.Organizational & Personal Influence Skills: Create, build and maintain positive relationships that enhance the performance of the business unit.
