Position Overview:
This position reports into our Senior Vice President for Human Resources at our corporate offices in Lake Forest, California. This role is tasked and challenged with the design and development of cost-effective compensation and benefits policies and programs which are aligned with company goals and objectives to ensure that Apria can attract and retain the top-talent needed to remain successful in a competitive market. Primary Responsibilities::
Ensure a highly-efficient administration of all compensation and benefit programsLead the design and development of national salary ranges and pay grades for more than 600 roles Survey trends and best practices in the industry to determine Apria’s competitive position, and make necessary recommendations for policy and program enhancementsDevelop and manage compensation and benefits budget, and oversee cost control procedures to assure maximum coverage for the least possible cost to Apria and our employees Anticipate strategic compensation issues brought about through labor market fluctuation, as well as anticipate new trends in executive compensation so as to recommend programs to address such issues Operate as an internal consultant, possessing well-developed opinions on compensation and benefits opportunities, to provide timely and high-quality information to senior executives on emerging trends and issues Recommend overall compensation and benefits philosophies for the organization, as well as specific enhancements to our policies, programs and practices that compliment our efforts to attract and retain top-talent Direct our executive compensation programs, including bonus programs and executive perquisites, to ensure that they are consistent with company strategies and goals, are well communicated and understood Ensure that all compensation and benefits communication programs are proactive, well communicated and easy to understand for all employees Work with the Senior Vice President of Human Resources and executive team to prepare all analysis and compensation related materials that must be approved by the Board of DirectorsWork closely with the Human Resources team to exploit the use of information technologies that can improve services, and enhance program management, planning and information Monitor usage trends, as well as the associated plan and legal costs so as to recommend changes in benefits plans as appropriate
Qualifications and Requirements:
Greater than 15 years management experience in a large decentralized corporate environment (10,000+ employees), with at least 5 years in a senior level role requiredA minimum of 15 years of in-depth technical expertise in the design, development, and implementation of innovative executive and non-executive compensation and benefit programsDemonstrated success with a strong track-record implementing the efficient operation of benefits and compensation in a large decentralized organizationExcellent interpersonal communication skills (oral and written), with the ability to successfully address individual perspectives of those you are consulting with and managingOutstanding organizational skills, attention to detail and time-management skills necessaryBachelor Degree / Masters Degree preferred CCP
