Job Summary: We currently have an opening for a Senior Enterprise Application Architect for our direct client located in Parsippany, New Jersey.The right person for this great opportunity will be accountable for creating conceptual system architectures based on business blueprints in order to meet desired business capabilities. This position will assist in the development of system integration and transition plans, as well as provide technical leadership to team leads and solution architects.

Responsibilities: In this role, you will work with business partners to develop detailed application architecture models representing current state, develop desired future state, and design and develop an enterprise solution and application platform roadmap. You will analyze requirements to ensure that application efforts are aligned with business needs. You will also work with service delivery teams to define architecturally compliant approaches, and perform ongoing project service and application platform reviews. You will also maintain the application development service creating a governance strategy and associated delivery processes ensuring quality.

Education/Experience Requirements: Qualified candidates will have Bachelor's degree or above. You must have the following experience: 10+ years software development; 7+ years web development; 5+ years senior developer; and 4+ years software or solutions architect experience. Additionally, you must have experience designing and building complex customer-facing applications, as well as designing and delivering solutions within the SOA model. Experience in pharmaceutical and validated systems is strongly desired. Strong problem solving, decision making, documentation, analytical, and engineering skills are essential.

Specific skills that are preferred for this position are: J2EE design and development expertise, including JSP and EJB knowledge; Microsoft design and development expertise in .NET; Demonstrated UML experience; Strong understanding and experience with J2EE application servers; Strong understanding of SJWS; Java framework experience (Struts, Spring IoC, Spring MVC, Stripes, Struts 2, or other J2EE frameworks); Scripting language experience (JavaScript, PHP, Python, and/or Perl); Web technologies/standards (CSS, XHTML, HTML, AJAX, XML, HTTP); Configuration/change management experience (JUnit, TestNG); Continuous Integration, Harvest, Maven, CVS, Subversion, and Ant.; Experience with development tools, such as XMLSpy, and IDEs Eclipse, and/or NetBeans; Relational database experience, preferably in Oracle and MSSQL; Content Management System experience a plus specifically with Documentum; and experience with search tools such as Nutch.
