Senior Financial Analyst - Burlingame

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: This position performs a variety of functions in the preparation of financial reports for DaVita Rx. This position participates in and assists with a variety of Finance Department special projects in a team setting across company functions.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive.· Assist in the development of financial and operational models, collect and evaluate data, analyze results, and make recommendations on efficiency improvements to senior functional management· Participate in the development and maintenance of performance metrics, methods, and processes for company financial reporting and analysis· Identify and communicate operational performance improvement opportunities to key stakeholders· Work with other finance team members in budgeting, reforecasting, and monthly variance analyses· Complete special projects and other duties as required or requested MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, include computer skills as required):· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field required· Minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience in financial and/or operational analysis required· Experience with analytically challenging projects analyzing and forecasting financial data and interpreting results· Expert-level computer skills and proficiency in Excel required; intermediate skills and proficiency in Access, Word and Outlook required; intermediate Essbase proficiency preferred ESSENTIAL BEHAVIORS AND ATTITUDES REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS IN THIS POSITION: Commitment to DaVita’s values of Service Excellence, Integrity, Team, Continuous Improvement, Accountability, Fulfillment and Fun with ability to demonstrate those positively and proactively to patients, co-workers, management, physicians, and/or vendors in every day performance and interactions Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and quantitative abilities Demonstrated skills in collaboration, candor, results orientation, and customer service Analytical thinker with demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis, prepare and implement action plans, and lead improvement initiatives Demonstrated interpersonal and relationship-building skills and ability to work in a team-oriented management structure and to foster a positive work environment Demonstrated time management skills and ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities with shifting time frames, and meet tight deadlines; self-starter with high degree of initiative, urgency, and follow through  No Brag...
