Senior Financial Business Analyst, Pricing
Summary:
The Senior Financial Business Analyst will provide direct support to the Manager of Pricing on all pricing related tasks. This position will also work closely with sales, account management, contract administration, clinical, data analysis, and finance.
Responsibilities Include:
-Leads and develops associate analysts
-Developing prospective and existing client pricing
-Participating in a variety of pricing activities supporting preliminary requests for information through major proposal submittals
-Developing pricing proposal rationale, pricing breakdowns and supporting data by determining the information required to comply with company and customer requirements
-Incorporating the impacts of new products and services, special program offerings, company initiatives, and industry developments into the pricing process
-Performs various cost based analyses for new and existing business.
-Performs variance modeling to capture the incremental quantitative impact relative to existing client renewals.
-Development of strategic pricing methodology and tools to be utilized to increase market share.
-Maintains expert level knowledge of market conditions and competitive pricing strategies.
-Ad hoc financial reporting, modeling, and analyses as required
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative based field (I.e. Math, Statistics, Finance, Accounting)
- Relevant advanced degree (I.e. MBA) preferred
-5 to 7 years of relevant work experience with pharmacy/healthcare reporting
-Pharmacy Benefit Management, healthcare or managed care experience preferred
-Previous pricing experience a plus
-Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access
-Demonstrated experience effectively working in a team environment as well as coordinating with multiple departments to obtain data estimates
-Proven quantitative experience and ownership of projects
-Must be highly analytical, detail-oriented
-Must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication
-Must be able to work on multiple projects and manage priorities to meet critical deadlines
