Senior Programmer Analyst - EDI

 

This position will be accountable for EDI development of deliverables and supporting EDI production processes. 

 

Responsibilities:

· Provide support for Mercator / DataStage TX system components (i.e. batch controls, error handling and file routing), maps and processes

· Perform analysis, design, development and implementation of enhancements and interfaces

· Work with Trading Partners to establish and test communications as well as implement data exchange process

· Interact with business and cross functional IT staff to develop requirements and create business and mapping specification

· Create and execute test plans

· Develop and maintain EDI process documentation

· Troubleshoot and resolve reported issues

· Focused on maintaining a trouble-free production environment

 

Requirements:4 year college degree or equivalent5+ years experience with Mercator / DataStage TX development and x.12 EDI mapping (specifically 270, 271,276, 277, 810, 823, 835, 837, 850, 855, 856 transactions)Communication set-up experience, including FTP, MQ, dialup and scriptingAble to work autonomously, self-motivated, detail oriented, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

· Good verbal and written communication skills; comfortable communicating at all levels, technical and non-technical, internal and external

· Ability to multi-task projects and priorities

· Strong EDI design and implementation skills

· Ability to fully understand business process and apply technical solutions

· Building of detailed source to target maps and business rules

· Understand System Development Life Cycle processes

· HIPAA  knowledge preferred

· Healthcare experience preferred
