Sr. Enterprise Security Engineer – 1 position

Assessments to Administer – Network Security, Network MonitoringDuties and Responsibilities

Analyze multiple network security systems (LAN/WAN, telecommunications, voice systems) to deploy measures to safeguard the network against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure. Confer with management, risk assessment staff, auditors, facilities and security departments to identify and plan security for data in networked installations. Proactively develops methods for implementing network security policies. Develop and implement complex network security systems, with significant exposure to users. Interface with management and outside vendors concerning security.

 Hiring Requirements/Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Three to six years of related experience in support of the areas of responsibilities required. Hands on experience in multiple technologies to include: firewall implementation and support, anti-virus, intrusion detection, encryption technology, secure-ID, and/or VPN. .Experience in one or more of the following areas: data communications engineering, data communications hardware or software analysis, network administration or management, or data communications equipment installation and maintenance. Must have experience in one or more LAN/WAN and multi-platform environments to include OS/applications, Desktop, Client/server, Network, WAN/LAN management suites, Intel LANDesk Management Suite, McAfee Systems Management, Microsoft Systems Management Server, Novell Managewise, Seagate Frye Utilities for Networks, Sysmantec Norton Network Series, etc. The ability to relate business requirements and risks to technology implementation for network security. Must have technical proficiency in network security-related hardware and software and have the ability to function as a consultant to IT groups on network security matters. A strong customer focus and ability to manage client expectations required. Must have excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishing rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding. Solid project management skills, especially in a cross-functional environment required.
