Simulation Technician - Penn Clinical Simulation Center

The incumbent will provide technical support for all simulation operations at the Penn Clinical Simulation Center at Penn Medicine at Rittenhouse, including preparation, maintenance and repair of computerized mannequins (software and hardware), task Trainers and related multimedia peripherals. Understand the use and operation of different simulator technologies ranging from anatomic models and task trainers to screen-based simulations to full body patient simulators and virtual reality surgical simulators. Provide technical support during simulated scenarios including operation of digital cameras, video cameras, audio/video mixer, digital/analog converter, monitors, LCD projectors, anesthesia machines and other equipment. As needed will operative task trainers and patient simulators during simulation sessions including programming software to model simulator's physiological responses to instructor specifications, serving as the "patient" voice. In addition to the simulation, this individual will be responsible for the maintenance of the IT infrastructure of the SIM Center. High School Diploma or Associate Degree in technology or health-related field is required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology or Engineering is preferred. At least one year of experience in the related filed. A medical background is preferred as technician will need to operate human patient simulators and task trainers.
