Berkeley HeartLab, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Celera has a need for a Software Development Manager in our laboratory facility in Alameda, California. BHL provides advanced blood testing and analysis services for early detection and treatment of heart disease. These tests provide patients and physicians with detailed information needed for early heart disease detection, better prevention, and more personalized treatments. Our unique, patented blood testing technology has established us as the market leader in heart disease risk analysis and coronary artery disease management.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIESLead the design and development of new systems and software.Plan and manage multiple projects.Review design architecture and UI interface.Manage and mentor staff of software developers.REQUIRED SKILLSBSCS or equivalent.Minimum of 10 years experience in software application development.Experience with management of Java based applications.Personnel management skills.Minimum of 6 years in the industry experience with Agile software development.Strong communication and problem solving skills.Experience developing applications in a regulated environment like CLIA, cGMP is a plus.Experience with Laboratory Information Systems.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment.
