Software Engineering - Operational Support Intern:

Internship opportunities are available across the organization.  As an intern, you'll work with other Cardinal Health professionals, as well as our business partners, customers and vendors.  Your contributions will start on the first day, working on meaningful and exciting projects that will give you the hands-on experience you need to build a solid foundation for your career.  As an intern with Cardinal Health, you will have the opportunity to interact with other interns and participate in tours, lectures and presentations that will increase your knowledge of Cardinal Health as well as develop your leadership skills.

 

As a Software Engineering Intern, you will support our department in the following ways:Work closely with Senior Software developers and support teams to create processes and tools to manage server installations, upgrades, and migrations Assist with creating upgrade scripts, patches, and utilities Assist with the development and writing of procedures for installation and use of software Perform unit tests on software Follow supervisory direction, show awareness and skills in using tools to accelerate development and reduce risk Regular interaction with peers and manager regarding assigned project tasks Regular communication regarding changes or issues related to assignments Ask for help when needed to avoid delays

Qualified candidates must possess the following:Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in IT, MIS or Computer Science. An excellent academic record (GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale) Strong leadership, communication and analytical skills Driven performer and self-starter Established work ethic and ambition Working knowledge in any of the following areas is needed: Microsoft SharePoint administration/web design/forms Installshield Professional (InstallScript) Installshield Windows Installer (MSI) WIX C # nANT/MSBUILD VB Script VB .NET ccNET nCover SMS WMI IIS 6.0/7.0 VMWare automation
