JOB DETAILS: Scheduled hours per week: 40.00, Begin and end Times: 7A - 3:30P, 9A - 5:30P; Days of work: Monday - friday rotating call SUMMARY: Works collaboratively with nursing, medical staff and members of the health care team in providing care for the cardiovascular patient pre-procedure, intra-procedure and post-procedure. The technologist assists in all aspects of interventional invasive surgical procedures, including: vascular angioplasties, organ dilations, vena cava filter placements, thrombolytic therapy infusion, embolizations, vascular and non-vascular stent placements, central venous catheter placements, central venous catheter placements, stone extractions, percutaneous biliary and urology procedures, TIPS procedures, assists with ultrasound exams, as well as other specialty procedures that may arise. Prepares the angiographic suite, performs quality control/preventative maintenance of equipment, monitors/operates angiographic equipment, digital/conventional/filming, film processing, sterile/environmental controls. REQUIREMENTS:Graduate of an accredited radiography program; current registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Knowledge of anatomy, exposure, positioning, Physics, radiation protection, medical terminology, and intravenous injection.
