Speciality Dietitian-Pediatrics

Schedule:  part time, 48hrs every two weeks. variable days and every fifth weekend

Job Summary:  Provides comprehensive nutrition/diabetes education to clients and their significant others based on an assessment of the clients needs.  Serves as a consultant to the medical staff, professional staff and the community in medical nutrition therapy.  Serves as a liaison between the diabetes program, critical care, pediatrics and other related departments.  Works as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team coordinating the plan of care and diabetes regimen with other team members.  Provides comprehensive education and accurate analysis of the diabetes regimen and various nutrition-related disorders to achieve optimal individualized disease management.

Job Requirements:  Bachelor of Science Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition.  Registered as a dietitian by ADA and certified in Pediatrics.
Three years experience as a staff dietician and two years experience in Pediatrics.

Other:  Exhibits excellent communication and public speaking skills.  Demonstrates ability to market the program.  Ability to make autonomous decisions as well as to function as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team.  Excellent time management and organizational skills.  Effective written and verbal communication skills.
