Specimen Accessioner

LabCorp is seeking a Specimen Accessioner for our lab in Princeton.  This is a full time, benefited position working 3:30PM-11:00PM Monday-Wednesday, 4PM-11PM Thursday and Friday. This position also requires running a route on Sunday from 12:00PM-6:00PM to pick up lab specimens from client locations.  Basic Functions: Prepares laboratory specimens for designated departments/locations prior to lab analysis and testing Unpacks specimens from branches and routes by type to various staging areas Prepares all specimens received for testing in designated departments or locations such as staging of specimens, centrifuge, separation of serum, and blood smears Aliquots sample for department Prepares excess specimen samples for storage and resolves and documents problem specimens Verification and data entry of requisitions Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
