As a Speech Pathologist you will have the opportunity to conduct evaluations and utilize findings to plan and implement communication and swallowing treatments to restore, reinforce and/or enhance a person’s ability to cope and function independently but under the direction of a physician. Apply the principles of professional practice in Speech-Language Pathology in evaluating and treating communication and swallowing disorders. Develop home exercise programs to enhance ongoing intervention. Consult with physicians and other members of the rehabilitation team to deliver a coordinated intervention program that meets the holistic needs of the patient. Participate in continuing education activities to enhance clinical practice skills. Ability to set priorities and maintain a calm demeanor while working in a fast-paced atmosphere of conflicting demands.  Minimum Qualifications: Must hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Must be licensed to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Oregon prior to date of hire. Must have experience with various types of communication and swallowing disorders, using a variety of modalities. Hospital experience preferred.  Working Conditions: Must be capable of working in the medium work range and have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to bend and stoop.
