Sr. Communications Specialist-RFP

The Senior Communications Specialist - RFP reports to the RFP manager and is responsible for managing the process of researching and writing responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) to national consultants and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to clients, including major employers, school districts, federal and state government and other public sector entities. Soliciting input from sales, underwriting and other internal business units to develop robust proposals and supporting materials that offer strategic solutions to each customer’s specific health care needs. Researching sources including database and intranet sites and consulting with internal subject matter experts to respond to RFI/RFP questions with current data and services available.
Consulting and coordinating with design & production to deliver communications projects through most-effective channel(s). Maximize resources to meet tight deadlines on multiple concurrent projects. Write, design and layout content to produce employer- and member-focused presentations, flyers and brochures. Proficiency in proposal writing and development, and RFP machine required.

Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field required. 10+ years project management experience and 7+ years RFI and RFP experience required. Database use and maintenance: RFP Machine, Access and other relational databases. Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and RFP Machine.
