DESCRIPTION/OBJECTIVEBeryl’s Compensation and Benefits Specialist is responsible for taking exceptional care of our co-workers by partnering with Beryl Senior Leadership to promote sound benefits packages, wellness programs, compensation structures and user friendly HRIS systems. In addition, this role is responsible for managing the company’s payroll function, records and payroll disbursement process. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Benefits·Responsible for the negotiation and management of the company’s benefit programs, including healthcare, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401(k) and wellness plans. Ensures, through regular and employee friendly communication, that Beryl’s co-workers not only understand our benefits plans but fully take advantage of them to maximize benefits.
Compensation BenefitsPerforms periodic compensation studies / or compensation surveys. Develop and maintain compensation programs, including job evaluation systems, salary grading, job descriptions, compensation competitiveness and incentive plan development. Analyze, select, implement, maintain and administer incentive and bonus programs. Conduct job analyses to write job descriptions and develop job competencies and identify and document the essential job functions for positions.
Performance ManagementLead Beryl’s Performance Management programs and procedures, including the Annual Merit Cycle, Objectives & Goal Setting Cycle, Mid-Year Performance Reviews and Management Upwards Reviews.
HRIS & Payroll AdministrationOwns Beryl’s HRIS Database, including, conducting needs assessment to determine appropriate tools which support Beryl’s strategic objectives. Manage the company’s payroll function, records and payroll disbursement process. Plays a key role in payroll reporting to internal management, as well as required external disclosure. Manages required personnel records and required external reporting.
Leaves of AbsenceOwns Beryl’s Leave of Absence and FMLA policies, procedures and tracking. Train and counsel Beryl Leaders on policies and procedures with regards to LOA and FMLA.
Occupational Health & Safety Maintain all OSHA requirements and manage Beryl’s Workers’ Compensation vendors and programs.
RequirementsThe ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business, minimum of six years experience in a Compensation and Benefits role. The role requires superior verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong internal customer service abilities. Must be detail-oriented, a self-starter, and have the ability to prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities. A must have for success in this role is a demonstrated flexibility to multi-task, shift focus and re-prioritize as the situation dictates. Satisfactory performance requires considerable knowledge of human relations technology and methodology. Excellent written and verbal communication strategies. Qualitative and quantitative methods and tools for analysis, interpretation and decision-making purposes. Proficient using the Microsoft Office Suite of products to include word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation package software, and e-mail.
