General Summary:
In this role, you’ll need to understand the priorities and processes of a Medical Bill Review operation. You’ll be responding to client inquiries and resolving client concerns accurately and efficiently and striving to exceed their expectations in all contacts with them; with complex claims and processing efficiencies your goal! Your essential responsibilities will include:
Responding to customer inquiries via telephone, written correspondence, fax, web, and/or electronic mail to resolve concerns and solve problems, including those of a difficult and challenging nature; our clients depend on us to review Medical Bills in a Workers Comp environment. Taking responsibility for following through and bringing outstanding issues to closure. Assisting supervisors with complex processing and billing issues as necessary. Mentoring and training others on the team. Reviewing/ completing basic pending claims to determine the appropriateness of the claim status, taking necessary action based on status.Researching Workers Comp client inquiries and information by effectively using our online resources to resolve workflow and problems including, but not limited to: authorizations, payments, denials, coordination of benefits, and eligibility.Anticipating and quickly identifying client needs. Acting independently and managing own activities with minimal supervision and direction to resolve client issues; Using good judgment and logic in evaluating and resolving difficult problems.
Job Requirements include:
HS degree or equivalent At least 3+ years workers comp, medical or managed care claims and customer service experience Able to effectively handle multiple tasks, think quickly on one’s feet, and adapt to shifts in priorities Has effective keyboard skills; can navigate within a Windows-based environment without assistance Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Displays a positive, confident attitude; highly self-motivated and accountable. Able to provide constructive feedback and serve as a mentor. Strong listening and interpersonal skills; exceptional analytical and problem solving skills/LI> Responds to goal setting and performance measurement Ability to withstand stress and to independently make sound decisions Able to maintain regular and consistent attendance in accordance with company policies
