Sr. Manager, Financial Standards and Reporting

M-F Shift: 1 General Responsibilities: The SEC Reporting Manager is responsible for the preparation of external financial reporting in accordance with GAAP including SEC filings, press releases and investor presentations to ensure accurate and timely filings. This role is responsible for researching accounting issues to determine proper treatment in accordance with GAAP and responsible for the establishment/maintenance of the accounting policy manual. In addition this role will ensure all SEC regulatory filings under the Controller's responsibility are prepared and filed on a timely basis.Specific responsibilities of this position include:Prepare and compile audited financials statements and footnotes, MD&A sections and other sections required in order to file SEC Form 10-K's and 10-Q reports on a timely basis. Responsible for compiling and maintaining support for the information provided in the SEC filings.Responsible for support in press release preparation and investor presentations as requested by the Controller or VP of Investor Relations.Serve as key resource to the Controller and Assistant Controller for GAAP accounting issues and reporting matters. Provide summary updates to the Controller and CFO regarding new accounting guidance and new SEC requirements.Develop an understanding of the business to assist in determining items for disclosure and in ensuring proper disclosure of the business results in the MD&A sections of the SEC filings.Responsible for all research to ensure the Company is compiling and reporting results and financial position in accordance with accounting generally accepted in the United States.Establish and maintain an accounting policy manual.Serve as a liaison with the legal department regarding required filings.Assist Controller and Assistant Controller related to Disclosure Committee responsibilities to help ensure proper compliance with the Company's Disclosure policy.Assist the Assistant Controller as required regarding the external audit process.Perform other ad hoc analysis or special projects as assigned.Skills and Experience Required: All positions require the ability to model the Corporate Values of Respect, Courage, Passion, Teamwork and Integrity.All positions require core competencies of communication, leadership, ability to drive change, innovative outlook and problem analysis.BA/BS degree in Accounting or related field, required.CPA certificate, required.A minimum of 5 years increasingly responsible public accounting and/or financial accounting experience, required.Strong GAAP experience with the related research and application of pronouncements required.Knowledge of SEC filing, regulatory requirements, consolidation and advanced accounting theory required.Effective written communication skills.Effective time management and organizational skills including the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.Ability to work with minimal supervision.Proficient user of Microsoft office and Hyperion enterprise in both creation and use of spreadsheets preferred. Proficiency with a general ledger software package required.
