Sr. Operations Consultant

Affinity Health Plan, an independent, growing, not-for-profit managed care company designed specifically to serve the needs of low-income New Yorkers, needs a Senior Operations Consultant. In this full time position, you will report to the Sr. VP of Operations and provide operational management and support to enable efficient, effective operations across related divisions of the organization. You will collaborate across functional business units to identify potential issues and develop business processes and solutions that are in support of company needs. You will also oversee enterprise level vendor contracts to ensure project goals are met and deliverables are received correctly and on time, and work on special projects as defined by the executive staff.

 

Requirements for this position include a minimum of a BA/BS degree with at least twelve (12) years of relevant professional experience, or a Masters Degree with at least eight (8) years of relevant experience. You must also have a minimum of eight (8) years of health-related / managed care experience at the senior level, preferably in client-facing and/or operational roles, and a minimum of eight (8) years of managerial experience at the department director level or above with demonstrated staff selection, training and management ability. To perform well in this position, you will need demonstrated program management skills, a comprehensive understanding of the managed care or healthcare industry, and the ability to anticipate and solve multifaceted problems efficiently and effectively while acting with a significant degree of autonomy, and strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others to act with urgency in driving operational improvements and achieve results.
