Sr QA Analyst

Senior QA Analyst will ensure that software quality has been maintained throughout the development lifecycle by proving software testing services. Responsibilities include (not limited to) writing testing related documents, understanding business processes, building and executing test cases, building efficiency and effectiveness into testing process, educating business partners on value added partnership, building test architecture, test environment and help manage them. Responsibilities also include managing/assigning day to day workload to team members, answer questions related workload, QA environment management and process improvement. Senior QA analyst also responsible for mentoring team members on testing methodologies and help them better understand their testing roles.
Job Skills/Requirements
o Design and document testing approaches, test plan, test cases and other related documents.
o Write, debug and execute manual and automation scripts.
o Be able to plan and implement industry standard QA activities, processes and documentations.
o Be a subject matter expert on testing and testing related matters.
o Decompose business requirement and convert them into manual/automated testable modules.
o Be able to support QA environments (tool, application, db and network knowledge).
o Be able to mentor other team members

o Participate in developing QA internal standards as needed (establishing and maintaining testing templates, published testing guidelines, etc.).
o Develop materials for external use (Test Plan, Test Summary, matrices, etc.).
o Work with team members to ensure process efficiency and productivity.
o Gather and provide metrics
o Actively participate in the analysis, design and user testing phases of new and existing product development.
o Review client and/or carrier feedback and questionnaires to drive improvements; this may involves changes to standards, processes, and suggestions for new systems enhancements.
o Identify overall process improvement opportunities within the client, SHPS, and/or carrier environment, consulting to the client team and carrier teams to make enhancements or changes to process.
o Knowledge of: Data Model, SHPS suite of systems, EVIM, Group Assignment Application, FTP EX, SQL, Microsoft Office Products, WinRunner, QTP, LoadRunner, and other QA tools.
o Develop, publish, and implement testing related artifacts, Execute test plans, validate test cases, review outputs generated from test files, and report results.
o Report metrics for complex electronic Imports, Exports, and Projects to the client, carrier, systems analyst, and IPM.
o Serve as an escalation contact within the QA team for operations or strategic questions from carrier, client or operational staff.
o Drive overall satisfaction by building and maintaining client/carrier contact.
o Root cause analysis of escalated data issues involving how data from the system appears on inbound and outbound test feeds and/or is processed into the SHPS or carrier systems. Once escalated, includes responsibility for communication internally and externally of the issue and timeline for testing.
o Utilize online tools to: create test case scenarios, code promotion, execute test files, rollback functionality, transfer test files, and review test files.
o Attend a walk through of the import and export specifications with IBSA, EBSA, Feed Technician, and DI.
o Validate that the system will have all information needed for testing (via the import, data entry, or other processes).
o Consult with client team and carrier team on potential set-up issues and to establish best or required practices for set-up scenarios (e.g. group number format requirements for a reusable carrier feed).
o Validate group structure with the import BSA.
o Obtain knowledge about special requirements of each clients population (e.g. retirees, domestic partners, etc.).
o Update documents and perform all steps needed in production of the test files.
o Ensure all changes are announced as released to the internal client team, carrier team, production support and project management staff if involved.
o Understand how BEN-NET stores and processes enrollment and financial data, including data structures, basic processing timelines, and detailed business objectives.
o Ensure client and carrier needs are met, while maintaining eBenXs standards of data quality, and that outcomes align with the product and services sold to the client.
o Perform requested activity tracking
o Back up team members, all aspects
o All other duties as assigned
o Be willing to work off hours when needed
Education Requirements
– Bachelor's degree required
