Job Description:
The staff pharmacist shall be responsible for the provision of pharmacy services/pharmaceutical care encompassing the service’s Scope of Care for the patients of related facility/facilities.

These services will include, but not be limited to, the dispensing and compounding of both sterile and non-sterile medication dosage forms. Personal characteristics necessary for the successful performance of the position of staff pharmacist include attention to detail, flexibility, cooperation, and willingness to work as part of a team.

The staff pharmacist should be committed to the continual updating of his/her education in a constantly developing profession.

He/She should demonstrate good communication skills, should be able to comply with 24-hour pharmacy coverage, and should be knowledgeable about medication preparation, drug utilization, drug information, and medication therapy review related to the neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient age groups served.

 

Position Description:

The pharmacist must be able to move quickly through the department as well as to patient care and specialty areas  prepare stat IVs).

 

Minimum Qualifications - BS in pharmacy or Pharm.D., 1-3 years experience as a licensed pharmacist, previous IV admixture experience,  Retail experience is accepted . Eligible for or maintains a current State pharmacy license.
