Staff Nurse - Float Pool - ICU-Tele, Nights

Job Shift: Third Shift (Night) Come join the dedicated Nursing team at Kaiser Santa Rosa in beautiful Sonoma County!Kaiser's Float Pool needs an outstanding nurse with competent skills in ICU, Telemetry and Procedural Sedation. This position is 24 hours per week, Night shift and has an excellent benefits and compensation package.EDUCATION: Critical Care and Basic Arrhythmia Courses required, Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.LICENSURE: Current California RN required. CERTIFICATION: BLS required, ACLS required, CCRN preferred. QUALIFICATIONS: Clinical Requirements: 1) Minimum of 1 year experience in ICU/CCU within past 3 years 2) Minimum of 1 year experience in telemetry within past 3 years 3) Experience in procedural sedation within past 3 years. Demonstrated knowledge of critical care patient management including ventilators, physiologic monitoring, vasopressor therapy, dyshrythmia interpretation required for all age groups. Required: Excellent record of contributing to a positive and supportive work environment; effective written and verbal English language communication skills. Preferred: IV insertion skills, lead nurse role experience; excellent attendance; computer literacy; history of working independently in a busy and complex environment with flexibility, innovation, and cooperation; Spanish language communication skills preferred.  1. Performs assessment/data collection including physiological, cognitive, psychosocial, spiritual, developmental status. 2. Formulates goal-directed plan of care which is prioritized and based on mutually-identified patient outcomes. 3. Implements care in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent, and continuous manner based on defined standards. 4. Demonstrates competency in specific technical skills as evidenced by skills/competency inventory. 5. Demonstrates effective working relationship with health care team members, patients, and families, utilizing rounds, care conferences, and care plans to provide an integrated approach to care and smooth department functioning. 6. Demonstrates good time management and organizational skills. 7. Participates actively in the department QA program. 8. Demonstrates commitment to professional practice and personal development. 9. A service-orientation and an openness to creative and innovative approaches to providing service characterized by cultural sensitivity, respect, and polite communication with patients, staff members, and visitors are required. 10. Works weekend, holiday, and off-shift assignments as based on operational needs.
