Supervising Community Health Program Manager

UC Davis Health System, School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, located in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Supervising Community Health Program Manager to be responsible for organizig, supervising and to implement the experimental intervention being examined in the NIMH funded Early Steps multisite project.  The goal of this study  is to test the efficacy of an intervention approach designed to promote optimal learning of infants and young children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and to provide support to their families. 

 

Ph.D. Degree from School or Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or Master's Degree in Special Education, training and experience in Applied Behavior Analysis HIGHLY PREFERRED.  Training and experience in use of empirically supported educational interventions for children and youth with autism ages 2-6.  Experience in training and supervising others, both paraprofessionals and professionals,  to use empirically supported practices.  Previous experience with cross-site coordination and collaboration.  Experience in providing assistance to parents in the use effective management/teaching strategies at home.  Skill and experience writing teaching materials, papers, manuals, assessment reports.  Experience with child assessment to assess educational needs and autism symptoms.  Excellent communication skills orally, via telephone, in writing, and in meetings, conferences and lectures.  Training and experience writing measurable educational objectives, conducting task analyses, and collecting ongoing performance data.  Training and experience conducting functional analyses/assessments of behavior.  Experience conducting research projects.
