Supervisor, Billing & Accounts Receivable (PPO)

Established in January 1999 as a Sutter Health affiliate, Sutter Connect has grown to be a leading health care management and administration services company providing services not only to Sutter affiliated groups but to other organizations as well.Sutter Connect draws upon our experienced team, sophisticated technology and processes, and high service standards to provide the best quality services and value to our clients.Sutter Connect is an Administrative Services Organization providing billing and accounts receivable, managed care administration and physician practice management services to many Sutter Health affiliated organizations and other organizations across Northern California. The Billing andAccounts Receivable Supervisor hires, supervises, trains, and coordinates the workflow for the entire Billing and Accounts Receivable unit. The incumbent ensures accurate, timely billing and collection of all billing and accounts receivable posted to the central billing system, as well as the appropriate distribution and resolution of all correspondence received in Billing and Accounts Receivable.Requires a Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 2 years of experience working with Medi-Cal billing programs/guidelines; possess at least 3 years of supervisory/lead/management experience and possess an advanced knowledge of medical terminology, have the ability to interpret CPT and ICD-9 codes, have a detailed knowledge of insurance data and strong proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel. In addition, the ideal candidate should be able to organize work flow, set priorities, manage multiple projects, and ensure timely completion of tasks and objectives.  The incumbent must also be able to work with and communicate with all aspects of insurance carriers (i.e. Medicare, Medi-Cal, HMOs, PPOs, Workers' Compensation).
