Job Details:
I. Position Summary:

Responsible for supervising staff and for ensuring the accurate and timely CPT/ ICD9 coding and charge entry of all physician professional charges for assigned billing areas.

III. Position Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent. CPC or CCS-P credentials required. Three to five years' experience in the healthcare industry. Two to three years' supervisory experience within a physician billing setting. Demonstrated ability to provide direction and leadership to staff. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. . Extensive knowledge of ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 HCPCS coding systems, 3rd party payer requirements and federal and state guidelines and regulations pertaining to coding and billing practices. Demonstrated proficiency in use of PC's including spreadsheet and word processing applications. Proven analytical, research, and evaluation skills required to make recommendations and implement operational improvement strategies as part of a cohesive team.
