Learn more at www.multicarejobs.org Position Summary: The Technical Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the integrity and the smooth daily operation of the Core Laboratory at Tacoma General Hospital and for the direct supervision to the personnel assigned to this section. This is a first line supervision that is responsible for the overall administrative and technical management of section operations. This position supervises Medical Technologists, Medical Laboratory Technicians, and/or Processors. Work situations are varied and require strong leadership skills, organization, prioritization, accuracy, discretion, good judgment, and independent decision-making. Minimum Requirements: Three years experience in hematology and/or chemistry required. One year supervisory experience preferred. Education/Licenses/Certifications: BS/BA in Chemistry, Medical Technology or equivalent. N.C.A. or ASCP certification as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist or equivalent.
