Supervisor, Departmental Applications
The Supervisor of Departmental Applications will aide and lead the direction for the Departmental Applications development, support, DBA and the Integration Services teams. Provide overall operational guidance of support and services for all departmental applications, integration development and implementation of department policy and procedure and various Supervisory duties as they relate to the Analysts within the department. Assist the Manager, Integration & Departmental Applications in leading a team of technical healthcare application analysts and high-level design & development analysts. This is a hands-on" Supervisory role within the Departmental Applications and Integration teams. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. 5 years of demonstrated application design and development experience in software programming 5 years of successful application support and troubleshooting experience within the healthcare delivery environment. (Client/Server, Web Server, Integration, various/multiple Database environments, etc.) 3 years Lead or Supervisory experience in a Healthcare Information Services application support and/or development environment 3 years Oracle or SQLServer administration, development, and/or application experience 3 years experience working with (developing, troubleshooting, maintaining, etc.) various databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.) 2 years experience developing detailed design specifications, policies/procedures, service desk scripts and test plans 2 years experience with day-to-day employee management and leadership skills Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of employees Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and motivate team members by example Proven ability to lead and deliver projects on schedule and on budget In depth knowledge of various applications and related technologies In depth knowledge of Oracle or SQLServer application technologies Broad knowledge of applications, database and integration protocols. Full understanding of the applications infrastructure environment which includes an understanding of database systems and operating systems. Broad knowledge with various server administration functions Strong ability to troubleshoot application, integration and database functional and system issues. Must be a self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills who is willing to take ownership of issues and see them through to resolution with little or no supervision. Must demonstrate a commitment to maintaining superior technical services to support patient care.
