Supervisor, Radiologic Technologist

·  Plans, directs and supervises radiologist technologist in the department of diagnostic radiology. 

 

·  Maintains radiologic services in accordance with established hospital federal and state standards/assists radiologist with difficult procedures and performs general technical duties when workload is heavy. 

 

·  Develops procedures, systems, and performance standards for the Radiology Department staff.

 

·  Promotes good employee relations and an environment conductive to job satisfaction and a high level of motivation.

 

·  Coaches staff in the performance of their jobs, setting realistic, specific, and measurable goals ensuring that performance standards are met.

 

·  Develops and implements the Service Management Plan for the Department.

 

·  Collaborates with other supervisors, managers, and medical staff as a member of the medical facility management team to plan and facilities the delivery of efficient and responsive health care to patients

 

·  Maintains high level of clinical skill to oversee specialty areas within the department.

 

·  Monitors procedures utilized for all medical facilities using the full service Radiology Department.

 

·  Ensures that the department is in compliance with all relevant laws, state and federal standards. 

 

Requirements

 

Associates degree in Radiologic Technology or graduate from a two year accredited Hospital based program and five years of progressive work experience are required. New York State licensure and membership with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists are also required. The demonstrated ability to problem solve and communicate well are strongly preferred.  The ability to pay attention to detail and work in a fast paced environment is preferred.
