OneLegacy, a donate life organization, has an immediate career opportunity for

 Full-time Surgical Recovery Technician, in our Los Angeles - Wilshire office.

 

The Full-time Surgical Recovery Technician (SRT) is primarily responsible for the coordination of recovery arrangements, and the recovery of human tissues for transplant, research and medical education in their assigned service area.  When necessary, the SRTprovides recovery coordination in the OneLegacy service areas outside of their assigned service area, as requested by the Recovery Supervisor/Manager and Technical Director.  The SRT will conduct medical record reviews and donor physical exams in accordance with all state, federal and local agencies.  Performs all duties and responsibilities in compliance with policies and procedures, regulations as outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations, and other applicable federal, state, and local laws.  Performs on-call responsibilities.  The SRT is occasionally required to travel by personal auto or air to meeting sites and other locations. 

 

The Surgical Recovery Technician is also responsible for working with the Manager of Recovery and Technical services for implementing Tissue Services operational directives, performing all duties and responsibilities in compliance with policies and procedures, regulations as outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations, and other applicable federal, state, and local laws. The SRT is also occasionally required to travel by personal auto or air to meeting sites and other locations and has on-call responsibilities

 

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree (BS) from an accredited four-year college or university, completion of Surgical Technologist or EMT program, or training in an affiliated health or mortuary sciences field.  CEBT and CTBS certification are preferred.
