System Manager, Financial Reporting and Accounting

System Support Services is recruiting for the full-time position of System Manager, Financial Reporting and Accounting (job #30808).  This new position reporting to the Director, Financial Reporting is responsible for supporting the accounting and reporting services for the System Office.  Primary areas of responsibility will include: consolidation of PH&S financial statements, review and approval of monthly journal entries and reconciliations, expertise in system debt accounting and audit support.
Primary accountabilities:
1.       Monthly review of system consolidated financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of reporting for Executive Management, the Audit and Compliance Committee, and Board of Directors’ packets. 
2.       Facilitate accurate and timely collection and reporting of financial and statistical information from the System Office and regional entities to complete internal and external surveys and special reports.
 
3.       Supervise system debt accounting, including maintenance of all debt schedules, review of monthly reconciliations, processing of payments, and providing technical guidance to system office and regional staff. 
 
4.       Review and approval of monthly recurring journal entries and related reconciliations for System Office entities to ensure accuracy of account balances, accuracy in financial reporting, and compliance with internal policies.
5.       Perform key role in audit processes.
6.       Function as the Lawson user query and reporting expert to facilitate analytical research related to system office entities.


Required Skills:
The minimum requirements for consideration include the a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Accounting and a minimum of five years of progressively more-responsible accounting experience.  Current CPA certification, healthcare experience, experience with Hyperion and experience with Lawson products preferred. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth knowledge of accounting issues and standards, including GAAP, debits and credits, Consolidation Accounting, internal controls, General Ledger & journal entry posting, and accounting procedures and business process flow.
