These activities include managing various system testing projects to develop test criteria and test plans, test execution, variance analysis and participate in defect identification, documentation, and resolution management.Key Accountabilities Lead the IT System Test Team through Configuration testing and other component testing for all migration events Manage the activities of the Configuration System Testing and System Integration Testing as assigned for migration events Coordinate testing plans with all component and project areas Lead the identification and development of defects, test team metrics, risk mitigation, system test strategies, & test plan activities Lead system testing activities, proactively identify and manage testing risk and assure commitment to project testing deliverables Assist the director of System Testing in developing presentations for Senior Management and other management teams when appropriate Prepare and present testing updates, analysis and findings on a formal and informal basis Assist director of System Testing in managing external vendors and consultant engagements as required Challenges/Problem Solving Influencing and negotiating with partners and peers Prioritizing multiple issues that cross operational and corporate wide boundaries Dateline driven with ability to handle multiple priorities Decision Making Authority Ability to determine success or failure of test results as defined by business requirements Authority to add to the test plan as needed to ensure validity of test execution and business functionality Authority to manage in the most effective way to ensure deliverables are timely, effective and valuable to the project Leadership Responsibilities Organized Building and supporting excellent teams Project planning and controls Reporting for various levels of leadership Qualifications Ability to manage large scale system testing projects Ability to understand and manage risk as related to testing and business Champions new ideas and initiatives; Creates innovative solutions; Encourages others to take appropriate risks Ability to manage System Test deadlines, and quality results Strong motivational and facilitation skills Strong understanding of testing approaches, guidelines and practices Strong understanding of claims systems, from functionality to integration with other core systems and their dependencies Strong team player Provide track record of meeting project deadlines/deliverables with successful outcomes Strong presentation, documentation and delivery skills Proven experience with MS Word, excel project, Visio, PowerPoint or like software Highly organized, detail and results oriented with a high degree of initiative Strong communicator- both written and oral Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required Experience in change management; both behaviorally and technically Minimum 4 ' 6 years of operational or testing experience Position Information Location:  Boston, MA 02171 Job Category:  IT/Software Development Reference Code:  bcbs-00001407 Our commitment to building a diverse workplace is without question.
