CONEXIS sets the standard as the best third party administrator in the nation for employee benefits including COBRA, Section 125, and Section 132 plans. Due to rapid growth, we are expanding our Information Technology team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures the stable, high-availability operation of the CONEXIS and Word & Brown websites. Act as back up to ensure the stable, high-availability operation of the CONEXIS system. Co-manage the (external) DNS and Firewall administration. Maintains systems, policies and procedures to protect data from unauthorized users and use. Identifies, reports, and helps resolves security violations. Web Administrator skilled in Microsoft Windows who would be responsible for Operating System administration, configuration, and system level application support, network and server monitoring and performance tuning of Operating System, hardware, and applications. He or she will research, evaluate, and recommend new hardware and software to support an expanding enterprise network infrastructure and be responsible for server hardware and system capacity planning. Will forecast and proactively recommend strategic hardware and software upgrades or replacements when service statistics indicate upcoming unsatisfactory performance levels..
DUTIES INCLUDE:
Maintain stable and reliable environments for the CONEXIS websites utilizing Microsoft Servers, Internet Information Server and SQL Server.
Assist with capacity, performance, security and usage analysis of the administration application and websites. Review hardware and software error logs on a recurring basis. Install recommended updates and patches on a timely basis.
Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of information residing in corporate databases, workstations, servers, and other systems.
Monitor VPNs, server logs, firewall logs, intrusion detection logs, and network traffic for unusual or suspicious activity. Interpret activity and implement plans for resolution.
Manage connection security for local area networks, wide area networks, company Web sites, corporate intranets/extranets/portals, and e-mail communications.
Recommends enhancements and modifications to systems and procedures to improve services as well as application and websites availability.
Provide back up to help maintain a stable, high-availability environment for the CONEXIS application. The hardware technologies employed include numerous rack-mounted servers, network storage devices, firewalls, routers, network hubs, tape backup devices, uninterruptible power supply devices, and other miscellaneous equipment.
Assist CONEXIS IT staff responsible for installing, maintaining and enhancing the CONEXIS application.
QUALIFICATIONSWindows Server administration and Web Administration support including:- Web Server (IIS 6, 7) support and administration(included web services)
- Expert knowledge in Web server Infrastructure Architecture design
- Strong Network infrastructure, problem determination and resolution experience
- Expert knowledge of Scripting technologies
- Experience supporting application developers (Includes the use of version control software and the deployment of custom software through development and test environments- Experience with web load balancing support
- Experience with LDAP authentication and Active Directory
- Experience with Application and Database integration testing
- Experience in supporting COM/.NET web development environments, Microsoft tools such as Visual Studio, and scripting languages such as VBScript.
- Additional knowledge required is JavaScript, HTML, DHTML and other dynamic web content.- Proven strong project management background
- Knowledge of Testing tools, performance measurement and tuning preferred.
- Excellent language and communication skills
- Excellent team player, self-starter and positive attitude required Understanding of SQL 2000/2005(DSNs, ODBC, etc.)Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Solid understanding of Windows and IIS securityUnderstanding of the following:
LAN, WAN, Internet Communication (Security and Management), Load Balancing, Performance Tuning
Understanding of Network Protocols, e.g.:
TCP/IP(OSI Model), SSL/TSL, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, FTP/FTPS/SFTPStrong understanding of Internet and Intranet concepts as well as connectivity issues between trusted domains.College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
