TSPMG Sr. Business Information Analyst/Regional
Primary Functions/Responsibilities:The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for analytical and reporting support for business owners including but not limited to TSPMG Associate Medical Directors, Senior Leaders, TSPMG Human Resources, Quality Resource Management, Hospital Workgroup (HAWG), TSPMG Senior Accountant, Provider Relations, and Contracting and Benefits. Areas for analysis and reporting may include any aspect of the companys medical delivery system but specifically related to: provider compensation, performance (financial and clinical), provider payment and contracting, utilization management and coding. In addition, ad hoc financial and analytical requests will be common. Responsibilities include: the facilitation of tasks to understand the objectives of the business owner, retrieval of data, organization of data into information, interpretation of data and its meaning, aggregation of large amounts of data, facilitation of business owners and leaders throughout the region to understand the data and results and making recommendations as appropriate. Required Competencies and Skills:- Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Access, & Outlook), Databases, SQL- Excellent problem solving skills and demonstrated analytical skills- Written & verbal communication skills, communication with all levels of the organization.- Demonstrated planning and organizational skills as well as attention to detail- InitiativeRequired Education, Experience and Training:- Bachelors degree from an accredited university / college in Economics, Math, Finance, Healthcare, Business or related field.- Five (5) - seven (7) years experience in a managed care/healthcare organization required. - Five (5) seven (7) years academic or relevant work experience to strongly demonstrate the following skills and knowledge: Data analysis, statistical analysis, communication skills, analytical skills, interpersonal skillsand group facilitation skills.- Must have in depth familiarity with corporate data environment/data warehouse structure. Use of relational databases and end-user tools (e.g. SQL) to develop interfaces that support senior leadership information requirements.- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, Access, Cognos, Paradox or similar database, and query writing.- Five plus (5+) years experience in financial, resource management or executive level reporting- Experience in managing multiple requests.- Complete a Customer Service Assessment*.Preferred Education, Experience and Training:- Master Degree from an accredited university / college in Economics, Math, Finance, Healthcare, Business or related field or three plus (3+) years experience in project management, analysis or executive data reporting.- Strong preference for analytical experience in a managed care organization.- Experience with Crystal Reports or similar report writing tools.- Experience in Provider contracting, benefits, compensation, appraisals, coding or utilization management a plus.- Consulting experience a plus- Customer service aptitude demonstrated through Customer Service Assessment*.
