Talent Acquisition Specialist-Sr
The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialists act as the pace-setter for the Talent Acquisition team. The incumbent acts as an informal coach for less experienced recruiters. Responsible for all aspects related to the recruiting process including understanding the detailed requirements of positions, sourcing candidates, screening and interviewing applicants and selecting diverse and qualified applicants collaboratively with the hiring manager for mid to senior level exempt positions, including those at the Director level or above. Will specialize in recruiting for technical positions, or other difficult-to-fill positions. Leads a variety of recruiting related projects and collaborates on program development. Working with and reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition, this position is accountable for assuring all HR-related issues relating to the recruitment process are addressed and resolved.
The Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist works in strong partnership with the Strategic Business Partner for their assigned business units in order to ensure that hiring efforts are aligned with the business unit’s strategic direction. The incumbent is responsible for keeping the Strategic Business Partner and the leadership team within their assigned business unit up-to-date on the status of all open positions. The incumbent works with the Strategic Business Partner and the assigned business unit leadership to respond to key strategic staffing initiatives. Acts as a brand representative for Medica. Represents Medica at public events such as career fairs, professional networking events, etc. Builds relationships within the community including with community organizations, professional associations, educational institutions and more. On average, will be assigned 15 to 25 position openings.Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. HR Certification (PHR, SPHR) preferred. 8+ years of recruiting, including exempt level, agency and corporate recruiting experience, experience with full life cycle recruiting and developing and managing hiring manager and candidate relationships. Additional experience in other HR functional areas preferred. Familiarity of HR systems as they relate to talent acquisition. Demonstrated knowledge of employment law related to talent acquisition required. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Focused problem-solving skills, analytical and system thinking ability. Project coordination and management skills. A team player, with strong people skills. Ability to work in fast-paced environment, multi-task and prioritize work and can work with a variety of internal and external customers simultaneously. Ability to work in unfamiliar or ambiguous situations, assessing, researching, analyzing and developing solutions; using a wide degree of creativity and latitude. Assessment skills, able to discern the qualities and qualifications as compared to the requirements of the job through interviewing, resume review and referencing.
