Team Lead RN--Medical Specialities

Bachelor of Science Nursing or bachelors degree in a business administration or related field. Must have interpretive data skills and have a functional knowledge of Microsoft Office. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Licensed in the State of Ohio as a Registered Nurse (current, active, and unrestricted) BCLS certification per American Heart Association Guidelines. Five (5) years clinical nursing experience within the past eight (8) years in an area directly related to the department. Two years previous management/supervisory experience. Demonstrated leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated analytical skills. Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and able to make decisions independently. Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and contain cost. The position scope of the Team Lead RN- Medical Specialties includes but is not limited to the following abilities: Manage the operations of the department/team jointly with the Lead Physicians through collaborating on care team budgets and targets through the appropriate use of decision-making and conflict resolution skills.Monitor the quality of patient care and environment in the team; evaluate; monitor care team compliance, and initiate improvement actions against the following: 1) Quality assurance standards (e.g. HEDIS, NCQA); 2) Customer satisfaction indicators (e.g. PSS, Patient complaints); 3) Service quality (e.g. Care Delivery Index); 4) Workforce satisfaction (e.g. People Pulse Survey); Coordination of compliance and regulatory agency standards.Monitor employee performance and behavior, coach for performance. Initiate and monitor performance improvements plans, discipline team members, and monitor absenteeism of the team members.Ensure patient and employee safety.Manage the allocation of resources the team according to team financial performance goals and productivity standards. Coordinate and direct the team in all patient care activities Work with providers to ensure continuous quality care for our members, as well as address any needs or concerns the providers may have.Serve as a role model in the application of the nursing process, act as a resource to staff, and provide direct assistance and clinical support to team as needed.
