Technical Analyst (SW)

Technical Analyst Responsibilities:  Integrated Planning and Evaluation  Provides complex integrated systems planning and recommends alternative technologies that will enhance current or anticipated information systems that support overall corporate and business goals  Ensures the review and design concepts for new systems and develops and documents the technical design for the integration and implementation of the software.  Oversees the development of plans for integration of new systems architecture into current infrastructure.  Provides technical direction and support for complex, cross-functional configuration projects.  Infrastructure Knowledge  Review and recommend methodologies to support additional usage of the Employee Portal in line with the programs business needs.   Role Management  Drive appropriate analysis of role management from stated requirements.  Brainstorm available solutions with portal team and help in choosing the correct solution ( buy vs. build)  Assist with technical specifications, requirements & planning around role management solution implementation ? Workflow & security o Lead appropriate analysis of workflow and security needs from stated requirements. o Understanding of workflow processes and general, accepted IT security Trends. ITIL certification a plus o Highly experienced at negotiating and collaborating with key project leaders to identify subject matter experts and resources necessary to complete the process of information discovery and understanding of the business needs. o Strongly influence the business by demonstrating a clear understanding of the business needs and the technologies that can be used to appropriately accommodate their requirements. o Consults and directs identification of alternative uses of technologies that will enhance current or anticipated information systems and that support overall corporate and business goals that are appropriately aligned with the enterprise architecture.  Development of Solution Recommendations/ Alternatives o Consults and directs Identification of necessary changes to current business process. o Leverages existing skills and knowledge to research new technologies and methodologies. o Compares and evaluates the design and capabilities of multiple system components (e.g., architecture, network, operations and communications).  Management of Client Expectations  Is completely responsible for the business partners expectations toward the timeliness and quality of the work products being delivered by the initiative.  Is held accountable for the content, correctness, completeness, and accuracy of the deliverables within any given CDP phase.  Expert knowledge in following functional and technology areas  Single sign on, Portal Search technologies, group access management, role management  Knowledge of CaliberTM a requirements management tool will be a plus Job Title: Technical Analyst (SW) Company: Covansys a CSC Company Location: Oakland, CA Status: Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project, Employee Job Category: Computers, Software Company: Covansys a CSC Company Reference Code: Technical Analyst (SW)
