For over 20 years VJ Technologies has been providing our customers with a complete line of x-ray inspection systems for use within the industrial, electronic, medical and nuclear industries.  Through our highly specialized divisions, and our vast network of global offices, we supply our customers with solutions for any inspection need they may encounter.

Recently, VJ Inspection Systems, our division responsible for the design and manufacture of state of the art industrial inspection solutions has relocated its primary operation to the East Haven, Connecticut area and we are seeking qualified individuals to join our talented team.Job Title:    Technical Services Manager

 

Reports To: Director, Field Service

 

Job Description:

· Manages a team of field service engineers who are responsible for the installation/commissioning, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing of industrial x-ray inspection systems, components, and other related equipment.

· Coordinates the scheduling of installation, repairs and maintenance services by prioritizing numerous issues of varying severity and ensuring that customer's experience with VJ Inspections Systems technical support is second to none in the industry.

· Ensures all service orders, repairs, and preventive maintenance visits are completed on time and within budget.

· Analyze call trends and provide recommendations, documentation and quick fixes to most commonly reported problems.

· Provide innovative process improvement recommendations to reduce costs, complexity, and/or improve customer satisfaction. Continuously improve all customer service related processes, including help desk, RMA, and personnel dispatching and scheduling.

 

 

Essential Skills:

· Education equal to a Degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent 5 to 7 years of comparable engineering experience.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong leadership, organizational and customer management skills.

· Experience in a self-directed work environment.

· Must rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals; a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

· Demonstrated ability to research and resolve problems using a variety of resources and tools.

 

Non-Essential Skills:

· Proficient with Microsoft Word, Project, Excel & PowerPoint

· Experience with MRP a plus (GP Dynamics)

· Step into projects already in progress or in need of rescue.
